2022 SLOBA Annual General Meeting - Preparation

22nd March 2022

Dear Aloysians,

2022 SLOBA Annual General Meeting

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has started in 2020, St. Louis Old Boys’ Association Limited (“SLOBA”) has taken safety precaution seriously to minimise the exposure of risk for our members attending our Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) in the past two years, whilst fulfilling Hong Kong Companies Registry’s and the relevant health authority’s requirements.

With the increasing number of Omicron variant infection in the city since the beginning of 2022 and in light of the directions in relation to the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation issued by the Hong Kong Government on 9th February 2022 which has become effective on 10th February 2022, physical general meetings of companies are prohibited at the time of writing.

SLOBA council is now proposing an unprecedented approach that the AGM of this year will be conducted virtually via electronic means (the “Virtual AGM”). SLOBA members, including proxies will NOT be able to attend the Virtual AGM in person, and can only attend the Virtual AGM via electronic means.

The Virtual AGM will be conducted and broadcasted from the AGM venue in Hong Kong (the “AGM Venue”) and only the presiding President and Honorary Secretary of the Virtual AGM will be physically presented at the AGM Venue. SLOBA members will be allowed to interact during the meeting remotely.  Further details will be announced very soon.

We treasure your opinion and if you have any concerns regarding this Virtual AGM arrangement, please feel free to voice your opinion through email to council@sloba.org.

Thank you very much for your understanding in this extraordinary time.

Sincerely yours,

Allen Chan Ka-Lun

President
