Re : Autumn Delight

You must have been wondering why there has been no function from SLOBA for sometime? The hot and humid weather is the cause.

Now, autumn is on its way and we think it’s the right time for us to put aside the never-ending work, go out and stretch a bit in the post summer breeze. For sure, nature lovers and kids would enjoy the following program.

Again, with the assistance of HYFCO, we have come up with a one day tour to The Inspiration Lake on Lantau Island, Lau Fou Shan in Yuen Long and The Green Park in Tin Shui Wai to be held on 22nd October 2006 (Sunday) . Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre, newly opened last year, comprises the largest artificially created lake in HK, a jogging trail, a children playground and a boat center. Lau Fou Shan, famous for its oyster plantation, is also a must-go scenic spot for tourists. The Green Park, as told by the name, is a farm which contains various fun spots including fishing pond, bicycle trail, organic farm and pets ground. Such farms are receiving more and more attention by people who like to spend a day in the countryside rather than in the city. As usual, SLOBA will sponsor a significant amount of the bill.

Venue : Inspiration Lake, Green Park & Lau Fou Shan

Time & Place of Gathering : 8:45 a.m. at Middle Road Tsim Sha Tsui

(outside the Kowloon Hotel)

Fee : Member & immediate family - $50 each

Guest (s) of Member - $80 each

Fees will be inclusive of all expenses (round-trip coach, seafood lunch, tips for tour guide and travel insurance)

Itinerary :

0845 Gather at Middle Road Tsim Sha Tsui,

(outside the Kowloon Hotel)

1000 Visit the Inspiration Lake

1315 Enjoy a delicious Seafood lunch in Lau Fou Shan

1415 Travel to Yuen Long “Tin Shui Wai Green Park”
1615 Return trip back to Tsim Sha Tsui
1700 Dismiss

As places for this outing are limited, admission is on a first -come-first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, please register and return the reply slip to the Administrator as soon as possible, but in any event not later than 13th October 2006 (Friday).
