OBITUARY of Rev. Fr. Alexander MA

Rev. Fr. Alexander Ma of the Salesians of Don Bosco passed away peacefully in St. Paul's Hospital, Causeway Bay, at 3:30 a.m. of 28 th December, 2009 at the age of 90.

Fr. Alexander was born in Chinipas, Mexico. He joined the Salesians in Shanghai on 24 th July 1936. He was remembered dearly as the former Provincial Superior of the Salesian China Province (1968-1974). He also worked for more than 30 years in Macau, especially in Instituto Salesiano Macau and Yuet Wah College, contributing invaluable service to these schools, benefiting numerous students. Fr.Ma will be deeply missed by confreres, students, friends and benefactors, they will remember him with love and affection.

Vigil Requiem Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church, West Point, on Thursday, 7 January 2010, at 8 p.m.. Burial Mass will also be held at St. Anthony's Church on Friday, 8 January 2010, at 10 a.m., followed by Burial Ceremony at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Happy Valley.
