Dear Old Boys :

Fr Pio Scilligo, our Prefect of Studies from the late 50's to early 60's, will come from Italy to Hong Kong to visit in late October. For the first time in 50 years! From what we understand, the old boys of his time are all thrilled of his coming.

Emails below show that he has agreed to a dinner with us on October 31, Friday. Because we are totally unsure how many will attend the dinner, we ask you to reply on your attendance by no later than July 15. And of course, your spouse is welcome to attend too.

Please email your reply on how many persons are coming to SLOBA by July 15. You may email to either of us if you wish. Thank you,

Anthony Liu (1962) Past President of SLOBA anthonyliu80@hotmail.com

Dear Fr Scilligo:

So many of your students want to see you that we believe a dinner with you would be the best thing to have. Would Oct 31 Friday suit you fine for a dinner?

Mike Tam

Dear Michael, it was a surprise to hear from you. Years go by real fast and it is a surprise how all of us manage to create life experiences that become a surprise to us when we look back at the years gone by.

After Stanford I wa s recalled to Rome, but most of my heart remained in Hong Kong. I taught all these years at the Salesian University and for 26 years I taught psychology at the State University "La Sapienza" until I retired in the year 2000.

I am still working full throttle with graduate Psychologists and Medical Doctors in three graduate schools, founded by me and fully accredited by the Italian State, that train psychotherapists. I also helped set up a similar graduate school at the Salesian University  and directed it for about ten years and now I succe e ded in handing it over to people whom I trained and do real well the job I was  doing. So you can see that I am mainly in the clinical field of psychology and most of my research is about Self, Identity and human interpersonal process.

At the end of October this year I am planning to be in Hong Kong for a few days. Make sure we meet if you are in HK. Most likely I will stay at St Louis School or at St. Anthony's Church.
Keep in good health and God bless you!
Pio (Fr Scilligo)
