Re : Summer Interlude 2008

As global warming, climate change and pollution of the environment become a threat to all of us, we become more and more health-conscious, particularly in the air we breathe, the food we take……So, whenever possible, we prefer to break away from urbanity and embrace the nature to give our body and our mind a break.

Here comes the chance! The SLOBA is going to hold an outing, one which allows us to move freely in the green and to free us from the crowds and noises of the city. What's more, this certainly denotes a great opportunity to nurture the relationship with our family members and a healthy gathering with friends. Come and share with us the sunshine and the smell of the grass!

“The Summer Interlude 2008 ”on Monday, 9th June 2008 will be a day tour to th e outlying islands of HK. Again, we will employ the service of the HYFCO Travel Agency Limited (油麻地旅遊 ), which is renounced in organizing such trips, to take us to interesting and unique scenic spots that we may have never visited before. With their professional tour guides, I'm sure the trip will bring us pleasure and new experience. All SLOBA members and guests are welcome. Again, SLOBA will foot a significant portion of the bill.

Details of the event are as follows:

Date : 9th June 2008 (Monday)

Venue : Tung Lung Island,Joss House Bay, Po Toi O Seafood

(東龍島 , 大廟灣石刻 , 布袋澳海鮮團 )

Time & Place of Gathering : 9:00 a.m. at Tsim Sha Tsui Public Pier

Fee : Member & immediate family - $50 each

Guest(s) of Member - $100 each

Fees will be inclusive of all expenses
(transportation, seafood lunch, tips for tour guides and travel insurance)

Itinerary :

0900 Gather at pier and head for Tin Hau Temple on Joss House Bay

1030 Visit Tin Hau Temple, a historic monument of rock carvings

1200 Seafood lunch at Po Toi O

1330 Depart for Tung Lung Island

1400 Excursion on Tung Lung Island, a hot spot since Qing Dynasty military facilities were discovered

1545 Return trip to Tsim Sha Tsui Public Pier

1700 Dismiss

As the number of places for this outing is limited, admission is on a first -come-first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, please register and return the reply slip to the Administrator as soon as possible, but in any event not later than 2nd June 2008 .
